Maple Syrup
Time to get a little sappy...
This coming spring, 2018, we are going to make our first attempt at Maple Syrup production. Come early spring, I really get the itch to be doing something productive. After spending the winter working on equipment and buildings and general maintenance chores, typically completing everything that was put off all summer due to ‘too much work, not enough time’.
As spring fever sets in and I am rearing to go, but can't get anything really started because, here in northeast Ohio, spring can be one day in the 70s and the next in the 30s. So how best to take advantage of this? Well, that is the perfect time when the sap starts to flow in the trees! Problem solved. hair extensions uk
In my free time, (anyone that knows me is laughing right now) I have made some homemade syrup equipment. I am a big believer in not spending money until it is made! So no new fancy gear when starting off.
This summer we have marked our first batch of trees to tap and come March 2018 we should be in the syrup business. It will be interesting to see how this first batch goes. We should have some photos and maybe some videos in a few months. We are actually giving the homemade evaporator its maiden fire and boil this weekend. human hair wigs
Depending on the flow and our success, we may have some extra that we sell. If so we will make sure to post it on all the social media sites.
